B.Sc. Chemistry

B.Sc Chemistry is a degree program that studies the fundamental principles of chemistry and its applications in other scientific fields. The program is designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in chemistry, as well as other fields that require a strong understanding of chemistry.

Course Structure

The syllabus for B.Sc Chemistry is framed in accordance with CSIR and GATE syllabus. In addition to the core subjects, students are also exposed to advanced topics such as green chemistry, nano materials, renewable energy, pharmaceutical chemistry, agricultural chemistry, dairy chemistry, forensic chemistry, food chemistry, polymer chemistry, and computer knowledge required for chemists.

The department also offers regular laboratory courses that hone the analytical skills of the students. In addition, the department has introduced research project work in the curriculum. This will train the students as individual researchers in research laboratories and give them a flavor of current trends in research.
